In this post I want to provide some information about the information in this blog. In my mind that means that I want to post meta-thoughts – thoughts about thoughts. In this post I would like to discuss some of the areas of discussion. Put another way This post is about categories.

It is really too bad that Zukerburg and co. have grabbed Meta as their corporate moniker. It makes sense but I think that it is too bad. The reason why I think it is too bad is that meta is a very interesting concept and as soon as a huge cyber-presence like Facebook grabs the term and uses it to describe themselves then it is no longer a term that we mortals can use for its plain and simple meaning.

The concept starts to mean things that it did not originally mean. That is life in the English language.

Of course meta is not a plain and simple concept. I guess that’s why I like it. I like complicated stuff. My wife Diana (the other half of KeDi) says that how I think is complicated. I am neither proud nor ashamed of that. It just is.

So this post is thoughts about the thoughts that we will have on our website. Here are some areas that I want to explore:

• KeDi Artworks: Of course we are going to discuss our art. That is what this website is supposed to be all about. Our art.
• Inspiration: There are lots of artists who inspire us. We will use this category to celebrate and talk about them and their influence on us.
• Art Scene: We (Kevin and Diana – KeDi) like to wander around galleries, hang out at opening receptions, crawl art crawls, tour art tours and check out art fairs. From time to time we will post about our experience of this – the art scene.
• Art: I think about art a lot. That leads me to research artists, trends, styles, periods, techniques and much more. I hope to post about all of this.
• Random Thoughts: I write notes to myself all of the time and I know that Diana has all sorts of ideas of her own. We will want to write some of them down and share them.
• Techniques: From time to time we may want to share some of the techniques that we use on our own artwork.
• Meta: Sometimes we might post some thoughts about how or why or what we are thinking about. Thoughts about thoughts. Meta.
